Or, in English, this is the Week of Unfinished Projects. At least it's starting out that way...
Remember that Use Up Your Yarn Swap that
hardhatcat organized back in June? I finally got around to joining & bordering the squares yesterday - WOOT!

This morning I've already finished a seed stitch scarf I cast on about 2 weeks ago, and now I'm adding a fringe of glass beads topped with pearls to it. On the agenda for today, after I finish this scarf is:

I've also cast on a pair of Nagini socks, using some GORGEOUS hand-dyed yarn that I received as a gift from dragonsinger954 when we met for breakfast a couple of weeks ago. Come to think of it, the yarn for the scarf I'm fringing this morning came from that visit, as well. You should all totes be jealous, too, 'cause I got to have her ALL to myself for a couple of HOURS!!

2. Finishing another football rag bag for a friend. I've just got the applique of the footballs to finish up, and tacking on the pom-poms. She has a football player AND a cheerleader in our league, so she wanted both on her bag.
3. Using the jeans from the thrift store to make a fleece-backed denim rag throw for my FIL. As he starts abdominal radiation soon we're preparing for the illness that we've been told comes with it. He's a "MANLY-man" (you know the type) and isn't going to be content to use a blanket that doesn't reek of testosterone. I figure this will be just about as manly as a blanket can get!
4. If, and ONLY if, I get all of this finished this week I'm hoping to work on printing the recipes for the Gifts in a Jar I've decided to do for teachers, bus drivers, post masters, elderly neighbors this year. I'm knitting Snowflake Dishcloths, wrapping them around a wooden spoon, tying it with ribbon, crocheting red, white & green candy cane striped gift bags, and putting a jar of cookie mix in with the rest. This week's goal, though, would just be to figure out the stripe pattern I want to use for the crocheted gift bags and get them done, pick out the recipe to use, and print out the recipes.
That's a lot of goals, huh? Good thing it's only Monday...
Oh, and just for something random. A blue jay is totally dive bombing my living room window as I type this, trying to attack Mrs. Figg as she snoozes. WTH? Since when do BIRDS attack CATS? More importantly, how is this tiny bird going all Shock & Awe on my window and not knocking itself out? Mrs. Figg is more than a little freaked, but so fascinated that she refuses to leave the window sill.

- Laundry
- The baking of banana bread.
- Hopefully having enough time to head to the thrift store for some bluejeans (see explanation below!).
- Figuring out what in Hades to make for dinner tonight.

And gee guess after being up for 24 plus hours, I look pretty awake :D LOL *hug*
All your in progress projects are beautifuls!!
LOL! I now have a very comical image in my head of a crazy blue jay dive bombing your window while the cat it's trying to attack looks on in puzzlement.... Both bird and cat are a bit cartoonish in my head and therefore, have very expressive faces.... It's quite entertaining really, I must thank you for sharing that little story.... Thank you! ;) :D
